Chris Russell is CEO and Chief Engineer of Bryston, LTD. Founded in 1968, this Canadian company designs and manufactures consumer and professional state-of-the-art specialty electronics, such as amplifiers, preamplifiers, and electronic crossovers.

Over the years, Mr. Russell has contributed to the development of several famous components, among them, the Bryston 4B amplifier, one of our industry’s most respected products.

Mr. Russell will discuss the Bryston SST2 series amplifiers, the CD player, the brand-new BDP-1 digital music player, and other digital products, which in the past few years have received world-wide acclaim. He will also talk about the company’s long-term commitment to excellence and how that has affected their marketing, design, service, and warranty policy.  Bryston amplifiers carry a 20-year warranty.

Thanks to Rich Warren, this tour has become a tradition at Audio Consultants and one of our most popular events.

Rich Warren has worked in radio for more than 40 years and is celebrating his 36th anniversary with WFMT. At present, he hosts the Folkstage live concert series and the famous Midnight Special, which has been on the air since 1953. This year he inaugurates a new program on WFMT: Sweet Folk Chicago, Saturday nights at 7pm.

Mr. Warren has covered audio, video, and consumer electronics for the Chicago Magazine, the Chicago Daily News, and the Sun Times. He wrote a column in the Chicago Tribune for 12 years. He has also been a contributor to Sound and Vision.Beyond electronics, he reviews folk music recordings for Sing Out magazine.

Scott Soloway, the resident scientist at Audio Consultants and Manager of the Evanston store, is back by popular demand.

After graduating from Knox College with a BA in math and physics, Scott began a career in audio/video retailing.  He has been with Audio Consultants since 1983.   

Scott will bring you up to date on the ever-changing world of audio and video.  He will discuss hard drive media storage, digital audio management, 3D, and the latest in display technology.
